higher education analysis

For this project, you will make up a list of variables affecting higher education

(i.e. percentages of students in different types of post-secondary education by social class, ethnicity, gender)

and then research data from 6-8 different educational journals and/or government sources.

Review and analyze your data.

Part one of your paper: Provide an overall summary of the data (1-2 pages). CITE SOURCES. Use APA.

After you have analyzed your data, evaluate the value of a college education. Part two of your paper: Compare those who have a college degree with those who do not have a degree. Break it down by different majors or levels of education if you wish. This part of your project should be about 2-4 pages.

Be sure to cite all of your sources appropriately and when using internet resources, they MUST be educational web sites-NO GOOGLE, NO WIKIPEDIA, NO BLOGS, ETC.

I would encourage you to use the free educational journals you have access to through the SPC library. If you need assistance, feel free to contact a librarian or chat with a librarian online anytime.

The web site is: http://www.spcollege.edu/libraries/

Or connect through the library button on your MYSpc homepage.

This is a research paper, not a reflection of your own experiences.

Use APA to cite sources within the text and to create the reference list at the end of the paper. If there is a reference on your reference page, I should also see it cited somewhere within your paper. You can find resources for APA formatting in the Start here module in this class under course content. If you need help, please go to the writing lab in the library on any campus. They are more than happy to share resources for APA and help you revise papers. They will not do the research and/or write a paper for you.

When you are finished with your project, submit it to the Drop Box. (minimum 3 pages total, double spaced).
