analytical essay 37
As a writer, you want to develop the discipline to remain focused and produce a
coherent piece. Bear in mind that a critique does not equal opposing the author. Rather, a critique
questions everything to get to the truth of any statement or data presented. Overall, your paper
should have 1) a clear introduction identifying topic & source and pointing to your, 2) a body
approaching the 3-5 primary points in the original source along with the analysis/critique, and 3)
a coherent conclusion that brings it all together. There are different ways in which we can
arrange the body and we will go over those in class.
