The Annotated Bibliography—600-1200 Words
An annotated bibliography provides the full publication information for each source that you have located in your research. Directions for how to cite your sources in MLA will be forthcoming. In addition to documenting your sources, you also need to provide annotations for each source. These are small descriptions of 100-200 words that should include the following elements:
- A short summary of the source, especially its thesis and main ideas
- A brief description of how you intend to use the source
Your annotated bibliography must include a minimum of six sources, at least four of which you will use in your final paper. Two of these sources will be the short stories you have chosen to research.
